I'm loving the different color combinations used on these Princess Birthday Wishes cards, however, I cannot take credit for choosing the color combinations. Stampin' Up! have a Color Coach where you choose a color like Tempting Turquoise and see the Creative Combinations. In the first card for example, the Creative Combinations with Tempting Turquoise are Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo.
Quite often I find myself fanning through the Color Coach looking for color combinations that appeal to me. I didn't necessarily want to use Pink for these cards, but they still needed to be girly.
The second card uses Tempting Turquoise, Rich Razzleberry and Pear Pizzazz.
The third card uses Perfect Plum, Marina Mist and Rose Red.
The design of this card is versatile in that 'numbers' can be stamped above or beside the 'birthday wishes' greeting. I recently stamped a couple of cards with '13' above the 'birthday wishes' greeting for my nieces' friends and they looked really good.

It appears that I have accumulated quite a stash of patterned papers over the years. In an attempt to use the papers I once intended to, I have been creating cards like these. It is so surprising how many cards you can get out of a 12x12" sheet of patterned paper. For the Transportation designs, I have used Stampin' Up! card stock in Marina Mist, Real Red & Basic Gray, which are great colours for boys.

I love the simple elegance of these Bird on a Branch cards. All the cards I have made with the Stampin' Up! Two Step Bird Extra-Large Punch have been limited to these 2 designs using Pretty in Pink and Old Olive, framed with Crumb Cake card stock. Why is that I can't tear myself away from these colour combinations when it comes to this Punch?
The happy birthday greeting is from the Stampin' Up! Perfect Punches stamp set. Each of the cards have been paper pierced to add that little extra detail and is easily achieved with the Stampin' Up! Mat Pack. The Mat Pack contains a paper-piercing template and pad, so all you need to do is line up the holes in the template on the cardstock and pierce away with the Paper Piercing Tool to achieve a row or two of evenly spaced holes.
The birds have been embossed using the Stampin' Up! Perfect Polka Dots textured impressions Embossing Folder before being punch out and would like equally nice if the background card stock was embossed with the same.
